Production planning software

Bonx starts from demand, inventory and capacity to suggest what to make and what to buy. The planner approves, and the plan follows changes in orders and priorities.

Manufacturing planning and MRP

Demand forecasting

Enter versioned forecasts alongside firm orders, so you can prepare production before the orders come in.

Net requirements

MRP starts from requirements and subtracts stock, safety stock, expected receipts and quantities already committed.

Lot sizing rules

Minimum quantity, increment, fixed lot size and maximum quantity: a large requirement is split across several work orders.

Production and supply plans

Work orders and purchases are suggested together. Bonx intelligence pre-fills the plans, and the planner keeps the decision.

Multiple sites

When one site needs stock that is available at another, Bonx suggests a transfer between sites.

Items with variants

For configurable items, requirements are calculated variant by variant.

Production scheduling

Shop floor scheduling

Operations are placed on compatible machines or machine groups, based on their duration, working hours and calendar exceptions. Late operations and operations without a machine are flagged.

A plan based on the shop floor

Production reports and receipts update inventory in real time. The next plan starts from the actual situation on the shop floor.

FAQ

APS (advanced planning and scheduling) software specializes in finite-capacity planning and scheduling. It is often separate from the ERP and has to be synchronized with it. In Bonx, planning and scheduling work directly on ERP data: orders, inventory, receipts and capacity.

Yes. Bonx calculates net requirements from orders, forecasts and bills of materials, taking into account stock, safety stock and expected receipts. It then suggests the corresponding work orders and purchases.

Bonx intelligence pre-fills the demand, production and supply plans. The planner reviews, adjusts and approves them, so the decision stays with a person.

Yes. Inventory is tracked by site, and Bonx suggests transfers between sites when a requirement can be covered by stock at another site.
